The filter’s capacity consists of 10 plastic support plates for 10 filter layers. A minimum of 2 filter layers with 3 plates is required for operation.
The necessary original filter papers can be obtained from us under the category Filter – Layer Filter/Wine Pump in various filtration fineness levels. The wine filtration system is delivered fully assembled and ready for operation. You only need to install your suction hose and pressure hose.
The suitable food-grade silicone hose with a 10 mm inner diameter and 3 mm wall thickness ensures that the hose does not kink on the 10 mm hose nozzle. The hose fits securely on the conical hose nozzle without the need for clamps. However, to prevent possible loosening during the filtration process, we recommend using our 14 mm hose clamps.
Of course, the pump can also be used on its own, without the filter, for transferring liquids—for example, for transferring wine between different tanks. Due to its design, the pump is dry-run safe.
